Debbie was an ever present figure in my life since my earliest memories and along with Chris have been the best godparents.

The trait I admired most about Debs was here honesty. She was always the first to tell me things straight and to put me in my place, and always the first to make me laugh! She certainly took no prisoners...

Memories include her trips with Chris to visit us in Cornwall, my 18th birthday party and one of my greatest memories- visiting Chris and Debbie in Conneticut. I can still picture Debbie cruising along the freeway in her Celica sportscar taking us to the shopping outlet hotspots.

In 2008 Chris and Debs hosted myself and 2 friends for an overnight Pompey football trip. My friends loved her and were in tears of laughter - the laughing was mainly at my expense!

Debbie always made us smile and always made us laugh particularly her views about “bloody golf”.

Most significantly, Debs was the first to tell me to follow my dreams and do what I felt was right. She always had my back and I always felt a reassuring hand whenever I was in her company.
